9/11 Ranger Review: What to expect returning to campus

Here is the link to the recording from the 9/10/20 Town Hall regarding Back to School procedures for in-person learning starting on 8/15/20. Please start watching the recording at the 10 minute mark.

The Yearbook team needs your help! I know you have been asked to wear many extra hats this year and we have one more to add – YEARBOOK PHOTOGRAPHER!
With social distancing rules and virtual learning in place, our yearbook photographers can’t be everywhere and we need your help. But, don’t worry…. we have an APP for that!
We are asking for teachers, parents and students to install and use Balfour’s Image Share app this year to submit photos for the yearbook. There is even a place to enter in WHO is the photo and WHAT they are doing so we know where to use the photo in the yearbook. You can upload photos of virtual learning or any other school events including fine arts and athletics. We want our yearbook to capture the year and we can’t do it without you. Once you download and install the Image Share App, you will enter your email address. Then, you will receive an email from Balfour allowing you to create a username and password. Once you log-in, you are ready to submit photos to the yearbook staff. The app will allow you to upload 5 images at a time. Please do NOT upload photos that have been received through a text message or have been downloaded from social media. Those images will not be high enough quality to use in the yearbook.   And please be sure the students in the photos attend Deerpark Middle School.
Each month we will be having a contest for a winning photo.   The September photo contest is –
Your social distance set-up.
Please send us a photo of your home learning set-up – with or without you in it.
Please let me know if you have any questions
Respectfully,

Library Grab and Go Curbside Kick-Off!

We are delighted to announce the kick-off of our Library “Grab & Go” Curbside Pickup! DMS will hold two pickup times outside the Deerpark main entrance on THURSDAYS starting September 3 from 10-12 pm AND 5-7 pm. DMS students will place books on hold themselves through the Deerpark online catalog and will receive an email once their books are ready. Once the notification is received, the student and/or the parent or guardian can pick up the books on Thursday during Grab & Go time at DMS. Books will be placed in the trunk of the parent or guardian’s car to ensure contactless delivery. For all the details, see the Grab & Go procedures and watch our Curbside Grab & Go How-to video ! See more info on your DMS Library website or contact Mrs. Illingworth or Mrs. Blanscet with questions at deerpark_library@roundrockisd.org.
At this time, counselors are only processing scheduling requests regarding holes in a schedule (student has less than 8 periods listed) and/OR incorrect core class placements (math, sci, ELA, SS).
They are working directly with band/choir/orchestra/Athletics teachers for any placement corrections in those classes.
The Elective Schedule Change Request Form will be available to students 8/26-8/28 via their school email. Students seeking a schedule change must submit their request by the deadline to be considered.
