What’s Happening

Be Part of the Deerpark Middle School Ranger Band!

As a 5th grade student, your child finally has the opportunity to do what so many successful students have done before them, be part of the Deerpark Middle School Band! Every destination starts with a decision to embark on a journey. Now is the time to start your child in music and Deerpark Middle School is the place to do it.

In light of Round Rock ISD Covid-19 closures, our 5th grade “instrument interviews” (originally scheduled for Saturday, April 18th, 2020 in the Deerpark Middle School cafeteria) ARE POSTPONED.

Due to class-size limitations for 2020-2021 (and the program requirements for building a “balanced” ensemble between all the different instruments), please understand that not everyone will receive their first choice of instrument. The good news, however, is that every instrument is fun, unique, and very enjoyable to learn! We request that you and your families keep this in mind when considering your choices.

Students will be scheduled into their band classes on a first-come, first-serve basis, and any final testing and/or screenings will be conducted at the start of the fall semester.

With all best wishes,
Nicole Correa

Please read these reminders regarding our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures.

As always, courteous and safe driving behavior is expected to make any parking lot procedure work well. This procedure is in place regardless of the time of day. Please adhere to this flow of traffic whether you are dropping off early in the morning, or picking up late in the afternoon.

Main (Large) Parking Lot

  • All traffic will flow in the same direction. The flow of direction is north to south.
  • Upon entering the Turtle Rock entrance, buses will form a single-file line on the left entrance, and continue north to east, nearest the bus canopy to the cafeteria doors.
  • Upon entering the 2nd Turtle Rock entrance, cars will form a single-file line on the right, and continue north to south in the upper portion of the parking lot, following the “horseshoe.
  • Cars will continue in a single-file line, pulling up to the drop-off zone before stopping for students to exit the car. Students will exit the car on the right.
  • Students will exit the car, and walk along the sidewalk toward the school building.
  • Once students have exited the car, drivers may pull out of the “horseshoe”, turning RIGHT ONLY.

Remember when? Don’t forget by ordering a yearbook. For more information, check out this flyer!
